Presentation:
  Nick joined Stockholm Business School as an assistant professor in 2016. He previously worked at Lund University as a postdoctoral researcher and St Andrews University, Scotland as a lecturer. Prior to this, he trained at the universities of Warwick, Sussex and Leicester in the UK. Nick researches in the field of organization studies, focusing on the sociology of work and critical perspectives on management. He is particularly interested in the fusion of social theory, philosophy, qualitative methods and interpretive analysis. He is a member of the editorial collective of the journal ephemera: theory & politics in organization.

Research Interests
Nick is continuing his research on the politics of knowledge production in the business school. Alongside Dr Sverre Spoelstra (Lund University) and Dr Helen Delaney (Auckland University, NZ), he is currently working on a project about the discourse of science in leadership studies. Funded by Vetenskapsrådet, the study examines the life of psychometric measures in academia and industry. Nick also writes on topics including excellence and relevance in the university, research ethics in management and organization studies, the history of management consulting, the working lives of stand-up comedians, and the philosophy of humour and laughter.
